The check-in process was a breeze - we simply went to the main business' reception and collected the keys from the friendly receptionist who gave us helpful local information. The house itself was fantastic with a spacious open layout and a stunning view. We were delighted to find a variety of wildlife right at our doorstep, including monkeys, birds, and even agouti. The house was also well-stocked and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The icing on the cake was the fresh eggs given to us by Herman, the groundskeeper. Despite a few minor inconveniences, such as the location being a bit far from downtown and the roosters waking us up early in the morning, we still had a lovely time. Casa Canitas is a great place to stay at a reasonable price.

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Canitas! The house was incredibly clean and spacious, with a fully stocked kitchen and beautiful views. The grounds were well-maintained and we even had fresh eggs from Herman, the friendly grounds keeper. The property had a lovely garden with a variety of herbs and hot peppers. We saw more wildlife here than in any of the nearby parks. If we're ever back in the area, we will definitely return to this wonderful house.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The location of this hotel is a bit out of downtown, so having a car would be convenient. However, the peaceful and private setting makes up for it. Guests can enjoy breathtaking views from the big veranda, complete with a hammock and a dining table. There is also a pool on the property, perfect for a quick dip on a warm day.
The couch in the living room could be more comfortable and spacious.

We had an amazing stay at this spacious and well-furnished villa. the views and landscape were breathtaking, and the open plan living and cooking area made us feel right at home. the caretaker, Herman, was so kind and even brought us fresh eggs from his chickens. Although the villa is a bit far from town, we took a taxi for just $4 each way. Amazing views and beautiful property. the rolling green hills and abundant wildlife were truly magical. Spacious and well-furnished house with updated bathrooms. Plenty of space to spread out and a lovely open living room. - the caretaker's tour of the property was a highlight. We saw more animals and learned more about the plants and trees than on other paid tours. - Gift of fresh eggs and produce from the caretaker was greatly appreciated. - Close proximity to town, but still far enough for peace and quiet. A car is recommended for convenience.
Slippery hardwood floors. Not ideal for elderly or those with mobility issues.
